36ers’ fans Cotton on fast

The ripple effect of Bryce Cotton’s shock signing is reverberating through Adelaide in previously unimaginable ways.

The 36ers are experiencing unprecedented demand for memberships with the five-time NBL MVP bringing more than just firepower to the club.

Prior to the ex-Perth Wildcats guard joining, the 36ers had just 300 expressions of interest for new memberships. That number has since exploded to almost 5,000 and corporate hospitality is already at 85 per cent capacity.

“I knew Bryce would be a big signing, but I didn’t expect the interest to be like this,” GM of Basketball Operations Matt Weston told CODE Sports.

“We’ve had 21 sellouts at home in a row and we’ve just brought in the NBL’s biggest ticket item.

“We could be close to capacity on memberships alone.”

 

 

The Adelaide Entertainment Centre is the current home of the 36ers, but now discussions about a new, basketball-specific stadium have gained momentum.
