Some of the best talents in the NBL's Next Stars program are rising up the ranks on NBA Draft boards.

A stellar start of the NBL25 season has resulted in a leap for Sydney Kings’ Next Star Alex Toohey: from the projected #57 pick to #35 in the latest ESPN Big Board of the top 100 prospects for next year’s NBA Draft, released today.

Toohey is averaging 11.5 points in almost 27 minutes per game, shooting 43.6 per cent from the three-point range — impacting winning for the Kings (3-1 after Round 3) and being trusted by his coach Brian Goorjan in the clutch to deliver for his team.

The top-ranked Next Star across prospect on the Big Board is Rocco Zikarsky, who is sitting at #24. His advanced stats for the Brisbane Bullets have been absolutely elite and he is extending his shooting range, making his first NBL three in Round 3 against the Kings.

Izan Almansa of the Perth Wildcats is currently positioned at #51, while his teammate Ben Henshall sits at #57. SEM Phoenix’s Next Star Malique Lewis is ranked #76, while Illawarra Hawks’ Lachlan Olbrich takes the #86 spot.

Another rising player out of Australia is part of this list - Duke’s Junior guard Tyrese Proctor, who ranks at the #28 position in the Big Board, published by ESPN Draft Analyst, Jonathan Givony.
