Biography

Celebrated his 400-game NBL milestone in the finals of NBL24 in the first season of his second stint back with the Illawarra Hawks with the 32-year-old now entering NBL25 after leading his hometown Mackay Meteors to an NBL1 North championship.

The veteran small forward has proven himself a tremendously versatile player over his 405-game career as someone who can be a knockdown shooter, can create for himself or teammates, and can be a good rebounder and just a solid all-round teammate.

After growing up in Mackay, his first stint in the NBL was at the Townsville Crocodiles after his time at the Australian Institute of Sport in 2008 playing his first 152 games and was Most Improved Player in 2015 and named to the All Second Team.

Spent the next two seasons with Melbourne United and then another at the Sydney Kings before his first stint at Illawarra for the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons.

His scoring dramatically rose to 13.9 and 13.1 points a game in those seasons seeing his stocks grow and then the Perth Wildcats came calling for 2020/21.

It would be a rollercoaster three seasons beginning with the best year of his career in that NBL21 season where he averaged 15.2 points and 4.1 rebounds, but then by NBL23 he was barely used and averaged just 9.1 minutes.

Returned to the Hawks after a brilliant NBL1 North 2023 season at the Gold Coast Rollers. In 30 games with Illawarra as part of a team that got within a game of the Championship Series, he provided 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Was Grand Final MVP for Mackay in the 2024 NBL1 North championship win in a career that's also seen him represent the Australian Boomers, win the QBL MVP in 2018 with Mackay and win a NZ NBL championship in 2015 with the Southland Sharks.
